Oh, that’s rotten. Such a pain plus the expense. I try to hide mine and take the cable out too but then again I don’t use it that often. That is maddening!! Grrrr….

Let disorientation be their curse! Camilla will only ever give the WRONG directions to anyone but you. Let it be written.

My window got broken into and the police said they were probably looking for a GPS or an iPod.
So many people have them and putting them in the glove box is “standard” so the pay off for them busting a window is good. If you are going to put it in the glove box or storage console, lock it or else it’s too easy for them to take what ever you have.
In my case…I had NOTHING for them to steal other than my Starbucks card with about $25 on it.
Sorry this happened to you! Amy

I am just catching up on some blogs and saw this post. Gosh I am sorry to hear that. I had my 1992 Honda Accord stolen from in front of my house in Towson on March 29. They just found it and sent me a letter from the city impound that we needed to come and claim the car. All four tires had been shredded and anything of any value was stolen, from the battery to the catalytic converter to any random wires containing copper. To add insult to injury, the city wanted us to pay for the 2 weeks of storage that accrued before they bothered to let me know the car was there! Got that wrapped up and just signed the carcass over to a tow company inexchange for them paying the towing fees to the city. Of course with a car that old, we carried only liability, so the whole thing is a write-off. The worst part is that we just bought the car from a friend in January so that our son could get back and forth to school and had to put an extra $1000 into it to pass inspection. THe county police told us that smash and grabs and car thefts are way up because the parts and contents are so easy to get rid of…aaarrrgh!
