Can I go Back to Bed now?
Umm… just found out that Chewy… the wonder cat… has anxiety disorder.
Thank you nice vet man for the 245.00 bill (and 135.00 in a supply list) to say that my cat is crazy. Let’s hope the feliway works… shall we?
Let’s not forget the kitty prozac too.
Oy!

Yep. My mom once spent a similar amount to find out that her cat had been “traumatized”.

Having a pet with an anxiety disorder can be scary, my dog has siezures triggered by stress. They thought it was initially something like epillepsy which would have shortened her lifespan considerably. Now i just have to make sure not to roll her tennis ball under the couch. (dumb dog)

I had an anxious kitty too - apparently, all of the sleeping, eating and getting high on catnip makes for a highly stressful existence. Prozac did do wonders for her. Try shopping around pharmacies for it - I found prices varied hugely between pharmacies and of course having the vet fill the script was ridiculously expensive. Good luck!

Wow…I think it cost less than that to find out I was crazy!

how can you tell if a cat is crazy. Or maybe, how can you tell if a cat is NOT crazy? Result probably much like medicating people. Cat will be calmer, but still quite crazy. Knit on . . .

Ooooh. That sucks! I second Kris’s commetn about the pharmacies. I work in a pharmacy and when I see how much the vet wants for something, well, it shocks me. Of course, not everythin gis available at a people pharmacy, but much is!
