Cowboy experienced his first symphony this weekend.
The BSO POPS put on the Sci-Fi Spectacular and D thought we should take the boy.
Man… was he right! We sneaked the cowboy’s jedi robe into the car and put it on him as he was walking into the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. He didn’t get it at first… but he sure did get it when he saw this:

Boy… what’s a jedi to do?

Luke and Obi Wan

The light side and the dark side collide…

tuning up…

tuning in.
This was a fantastic program and a great night for our little family. The cowboy loved the symphony as much as we do!

How cool! My Dh is a Sci-Fi fanatic and would have been right in his element. Yes, he quotes Monty Python and can recite the title of every original Star Trek episode too. The middle Storm Trooper in the photo eerily resembles the Stay Puffed marshamallow man.

what a great idea! i think that’s the problem with many “traditional” entertainments like opera and orchestra…they keep doing all the ancient stuff that isn’t really relevant to younger audiences. if they did some new stuff-like this one did-perhaps interest would be sparked in some of the traditional stuff too! Since it is still very nice, even if it is old!

Wow. What an inventive way to get different parts of the community involved in the arts!

Oh mang. I just found you through SeaSocks and I think I love you for doing this. We took my son to the wondercon when he was days old and I was still recovering from preeclampsia. Only one person I knew understood why we did it but all loved the fotos with Darth Vader & the Stormtroopers.
Oh I am so going to SeaSocks 2009.
Thank you.
