Is it me (and a perfectly fine answer would be “yes!”) or am I crazy?

Did October come and surprise you too? I am a fully grown adult (by size… not always by psychology) that understands the concept “August, September, OCTOBER”. Hell, even my 4 year old does.

October finds me, every year, with my pants down.Figuratively speaking, of course. My pants really do stay on in public.

It is a month of many things here at Chez’ (Fiber Addicted) Mama. To start off… there is my birthday. I am that annoying (wife, mom, sister) that talks about her birthday incessantly. I love my birthday. I love the celebration… the presents are sweet… but I love to hear D and the cowboy sing to me. The cowboy gets to pick the cake… and this year I hear that a princess cake is in my future.

I have never had a princess cake…. I am so pysched!

October also brings other family birthdays… my sister, Bird… my dad.. a couple aunts… and now a new little one for us to love.

October brings RHINEBECK. I HEART RHINEBECK in a huge way. I get to hang out with friends … meet some more… and generally have it be acceptable to drool and pet fiber in public. I will be there (sans familia!) all weekend.
Stitches comes first… and while I am generally iffy on what that convention does to our local knitting economy… I will be there (with a gifted all-access pass!) to catch up with folks and roam the floor of the market …a renegade taking bloggy photos even though they say not to.

October also has HALLOWEEN! My favorite holiday… I am trying to instill the joys of the fright-fest into my 4 year old… not to scary this year… but boy! do I have plans.

I also have GREAT plans to share in the future… a little something that I have been thinking of for a while…. I won’t give them away just yet… but … if you are a budding fiber artist/dyer/spinner I would love to talk to you! Email me to get more details…

Ok friends… I am off to start my day (coffee… yum!) and buy a zipper for FUGL.. she is done and ready to steek (EEK!)
