An idea that is developed and put into action is more important
than an idea that exists only as an idea. - Buddha

That is the Buddhist Daily meditation for today. Funny how things come at you right when you need to think about them.

Here is my action:

(Excuse the crappy cell phone picture)

That would be my master dye list taped to the wall right at eye level in my studio. I made a huge dent in the list today. Whew…. it is amazing what happens when you stop thinking and start doing.
I finalized my travel plans home from Seattle… guess what kids? I will be at MD Sheep and Wool on Sunday. I am so excited. Especially because I will have a big amount of yarn (sock and lace) at the Cloverhill booth (BIG corner booth in the front right corner of the main barn). The CLOVERHILL label is dyed by me…. so… even if it does not say C*EYE*BER Fiber Yarn , you can rest assured that it is my product that I dye for them.
The lace really is to die for. There is alpaca and 2 weights of merino. They also have the wool/nylon sock yarn as well. Maybe even some spinning fiber… I digress…
I am so excited to go to Sheep and Wool. If you will be roaming the booths on Sunday… give a holler. I may not be coherent from lack of sleep… but then again… I am barely coherent these days with sleep.

this is what the cowboy will look like at high school graduation?

I put this outfit on him yesterday and thought “where did my baby go?” To tell the truth… I got a little weepy.

He really liked the tie. Daddy wore a matching one and he felt all grown up. And acted grown up. Even at the restaurant he used his “ma’am” and “sir” and “excuse us please”. He may have even busted out a “May I have ice cream mommy?”

At home we were back to the “poopy” talk. Nice to know he is still all 3 1/2 year old boy.

Jolene was brave enough to invite the cowboy and I over for a playdate on Friday. I was a little nervous… the cowboy had some high energy the last time we descended on their home and Samantha and Erica were left wondering why their mommy invited the Tasmanian devil over.

I was so shocked pleasantly surprised when all the cowboy 3 kids played really nicely together. It was so great. It was great to see so much growth in my boy. He took turns… he barely whined…. and he left with out dissolving into a fit. Sweet! I guess preschool agrees with him.

I love this picture. No coaxing from the mommies. I also think it really shows off the kids personalities. Samantha is a cowgirl at heart and the cowboy looks like Bootsie Collins in that hat. Don’t know who Bootsie is?

Yup… my boy has the funk. He got the funk.

Have a Happy Easter for those of you who celebrate. Happy Belated Passover to those of you who celebrated that this past week…. and Happy Spring to all of us!

It’s late. And, I am tired. That sleepy over-tired feeling that you have when your mind can not shut off but your body is dead-dog tired.

The past few days have been interesting, to say the least, and not so much in a great way. There is a lot of yarn to be dyed, house to be cleaned, 2 holidays this week for us,feelings to be sorted, and wounds to be licked.
But, there is one really great thing that I was reminded of. I have the best friends that a girl can ever wish for. I have the best little family a girl can wish for. And, in an insane way, I have the best job a girl can wish for.

So to D. and the cowboy (who, BTW, must sense that mommy is a tad-bit fried and is REALLY improving and working hard on the keeping his hands to himself thing)and to my friends, I say thanks. Thanks for accepting me for where I am at and loving my nutty self. You really are the things that matter most to me in this life (well… there is yarn too… but that is another love…*sigh*…)

Post a picture.

That is a personal project. Enough yarn for a sweater. Yes, I am hooked on sweater knitting.

My Flair is almost compete. She has been a joy to knit. She is soft and lovely and aching for her block and finish. She will be seaworthy. Seeing as Vancouver and Victoria will be around, oh 50 degrees… I will need her.

This is a modified “red maple” 100% Natural wool. I bought some to test dye for an upcoming class that I am teaching. I think that I will do a little Elizabeth Zimmerman formula to produce a nice seamless raglan. No idea on the neckline… but I am convinced that I need a little seamless action in my life.

On a Warehouse note:

I did a wee update tonight of superwash sock yarn and roving.
