Gimp is an open source software much like photoshop… only free. It works in PC’s and lets you do silly things to photos.
Now… I want to know how to do more… but right now…. as my head is about to explode and my stomach is churning from caffeine and sugar… I am happy with a FREE program.
I did silly things like:
and this:
I know… simple for most. A triumph for me.
I spent the day in my studio (annoying my suite-mate -separate spaces with a transom like divider- with the Dixie Chicks and Bruuuuuce. Her damn pan flute new age stuff was grating in my nerves!) I did spend the day in the dyepot. The TK subscirptions for month two and the PS yarn for month two is finished. Whew!
Michelle, from the Sweet Sheep, is getting a LOAD of stuff shipped on Tuesday. Curriculum for the cruise is being finalized. Now… if I only had a self-cleaning house….

I bought your Peppermint Twist sock yarn and Mermaids roving from The Sweet Sheep ages ago but haven’t used either yet (I do like to pet them and admire them frequently)….your sock club is too tempting to pass up.
I was wondering–do you ever do dyeing classes/workshops without the sock knitting class component? I consider myself an advance intermediate to expert sock knitter, but I’ve only done real dyeing in one short workshop. I bought a kit and want to learn tips and techniques for using it. I’m a Maryland-born girl living in northern VA now and would love to zip up your way for a workshop.

I’ve been using GIMP for years. It is an excellent imaging software, especially considering it’s free. You can even buy Beginning Gimp which is a really helpful resource for more complex photo editing.
