Baseball fans have long been aware that Spring officially begins when their home team heads to their warm weather training facility.
I stepped out of my door at 11 am this morning and could not believe how beautiful this day is. 58 degrees and clear skies.
Nothing makes me feel better than that. NO-THING.
I am fairly light sensitive and really yearn for daylight savings to come rescue me from my winter madness. Not really madness, just sloth-i-ness.
And the first days of Spring always remind me that the weekend we, the Maryland Fiber obsessed, wait for. Yes friends. You got it.
Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
I love that this is in my great state. I love that we will all start talking about this at my knit night. Make plans. Meet up with fibery friends, real and imaginary.
I also love that it is actually looking like I will be home from the cruise in enough time to make it on Saturday.I was really worried for a minute…but alas! Me and D worked it out.
We are taking an extended trip on the front end of the cruise week, going in the cruise, and then hightailing it back to Maryland.
I don’t know how cohesive I will be. But I know I will be there!
So, to celebrate this beautiful day, I am going to pick the cowboy up early from school and head over to the playground. We will feed the ducks and breathe Spring air.
Adios winter. Welcome Spring!
