Fall is my favorite season. I think that Rhinebeck was the official kick off to this autumn.

This is a long awaited meeting. Bev is a huge catalyst for my sock club endeavours. I am so glad to finally meet her! Next time…. I will spend more time. Promise.
That was the only picture that managed to make it home from Rhinebeck with me. I hung out with my girl Michelle all day and managed to refrain from buying the farm…. but took no pictures. Bad, bad blogger. I got to hug my girlies Julia and Marie…. and meet lots of good fiber folk.
Here are pictures of the haul:

This is my new city-market basket from my brother and sister. They gave it to me the night before Rhinebeck.

Here is the list:
1.5 lbs of tussah silk
1/2 pound of non-animal fiber rayone firestar mix
2 beautiful 1.5oz sparkly batts available from Brooklyn Handspun (thanks friend!)
1- 4oz skein of Brooks Farm superwash/silk/viscose
1- 4oz skein Socks that Rock in the “Lucy” colorway (market research!
)
2 skeins Sock Candy cotton-lycra in “Aubergine” (more market research
)

2 amazing skeins of seasilk hand carried by my girl Michele! Beautiful….. look at that sheen.
I had to leave Rhinebeck early…. and head back to celebrate my sister’s 16th birthday.

Here is the cowboy with his aunt Bird. Happy birthday to my baby sister! We are going to see RENT together as my present to her! Oh boy! She is as broken as I am when it comes to watching it.
And… you Fall sock clubbers…… this is making it’s way to you as we speak!

It is called Indian Corn…. maybe candy corn is a better description.
Happy Tuesday friends!
*Edited to Add* One thing I forgot to mention about Rhinebeck was the feeling I got at the Blogger meet up…. it was this amazing sea of bloggers… and I froze. Like a freshman at their first social…. It was a bit overwhelming. All images I had of anyone left my head… so… if I met you and seemed aloof or a big dork, I apologize! I was just feeling a tad overwhelmed by the fiber and the friends!

Yummy candy corn! I’m not jealous of all of you Rhinebeck attendees… really. I mean, it isn’t like I’ve made any voodoo dolls and have poked them repeatedly with my addis. Love your haul. The sea silk yarn is gorgeous too. I’m going to start some socks with Beau this week. Cheers!
