While spinning at Cloverhill last night… Amie, spin diva extraordinaire, showed me how to double lace my flyer and get a REALLY thin single.

Umm… not a parlor trick folks! I am so amazed at how you get a really thin single with half the work of what I was doing before. I *embarrassingly* made noises that I think are not meant for the public and drooled from the mouth after I spun this way for a while. Umm… did I mention that I was in a group?

Still amazed folks.

Here is the 4oz of Platinum in a single. I think I may need to dye some more  to make another bobbin of singles to ply it with.

Michelle, the Canadian yarn goddess, has arranged a VERY special and VERY limited sock club that I am VERY honored to be a part of.

You see…. this is another collborative effort of the most special sorts. 4… YES! 4 of us hand-dyers are banding together to bring you socky goodenss for 4 straight months.

umm….. it is pouring here in C*EYE*BER FIBER-land. And I mean that in the best possible way. Fall really is knitting and spinning season, isn’t it?

Wanna know what I am up to?

• The Winter Sock Club has taken off like a rocket! I have 4 spots left and that is it. All gone after that. I am so excited about collaborating with Marie. She is a fantastic artist and friend. I am honored to be working with her. Email me for your spot.
• Seasocks has 8 cabins left! That’s it. WOW! Just WOW!
• Stitches East will be here in Baltimore. I am dyeing a huge lot of yarn for Cloverhill. Go see them and buy their stuff! They have some amazing new items for Stitches!
• I just met with a new client. I am honored to say that Knit Happens in Alexandria, Virginia has commissioned me to create a line of sock yarns for them. Wow, just wow. I am sooooo excited! All of the folks there are so great!
• I am working out the details of a spinning fiber club. VERY LIMITED in Space. I have 10 spots and that’s all folks. Mama has to sleep sometime!
• A second cruise is in the works and will be announced towards the end of October. We are hammering out the details. Stay tuned!

• The Winter Sock Club is filling up fast. Marie and I have good plans to bring you 6 colorways over the course of 3 months. In December, January, and February you will receive a 4 oz hank of seasonally themed yarn from both Brooklyn Handspun and C*EYE*BER Fibers. All superwash. All sock weights ( fingering to sport). Ok…. Sock Wars is on and I have been knitting furiously. I have just cast on sock #2…. SPOOKY KNITTER…. anyone know the url of SPOOKY KNITTER? I hear I am her target…. I am hoping that I can knit faster than her! Spooky… you out there? Seems like knitting socks for size 11 feet go on forever, huh?

• The Winter Sock Club has a fantastic twist! (I am so punny!) My good buddy Marie (yes Marie of Brooklyn Handspun) and I are teaming up for the Winter Club! I love to collaborate with other fiber artists. We have decided that the club will be as follows:
• In December, January, and February you will receive a 4 oz hank of seasonally themed yarn from both Brooklyn Handspun and C*EYE*BER Fibers. All superwash. All sock weights ( fingering to sport).
• The club costs 150.00 for 3 months. (6 yarns total)
• Space is ABSOLUTLEY LIMITED. There are 30 spots total. I will sell 15 and Marie will sell the other 15. That’s it for this round….. once they are sold, they are GONE!
